Understanding before transforming
The journey began in the insurance sector and extended into reinsurance and other business environments — always designing architectures, integrating systems, and leading teams and projects, not solving technology problems in isolation.
That experience left a simple conviction: technology isn't the starting point — it's a tool that finds its place after understanding the business, its processes, and the decisions that really matter. AENTHOS doesn't start from a given technology or a trend: it starts by identifying where the real problem is, and builds solutions that evolve alongside the organization.
Transforming isn't simply about adopting technology. It's about understanding where you stand, deciding where you want to go, and building the path to get there.
The origin of our proprietary technology
1999 — Sibrok-SE
Our first proprietary platform for insurance brokers. It was the core business system for more than 12 brokerages, of different sizes, for nearly two decades. Today it's history: a discontinued product.
2007 — Sibrok-RE
An adaptation of that accumulated knowledge to reinsurance operations. Still active today only for contractual continuity with a few historical clients — not active development.
2019 — Smart-RE
Development begins on a new generation of technology for reinsurance brokers, built in parallel to Sibrok-RE. It's our active platform today, in continuous evolution.

Philosophy
Technology solves processes. People decide
AENTHOS doesn't sell software that replaces the judgment of an actuary, an underwriter or an operations manager — we build the tools that give them back the time to exercise it.
Understand before building
The starting point is never the technology — it's the real problem. We question before assuming, and measure before calling a project a success.
We choose the problems we know how to solve
When a project needs expertise we don't have, we say so and bring in the right specialist — rather than force an answer that isn't ours to give.
One standard, no exceptions
The level of rigor doesn't change with the size of the client or the scope of the project. What adapts is the delivery format — never the quality of the work.
Real operation, not a sales promise
Every figure we show — 40%, 90%, days-to-minutes reconciliation — comes from a platform in production, not a lab case.
Judgment that transfers, not a template that repeats
The same disciplines that support a reinsurance broker apply anywhere there's scattered data, critical processes, and decisions that today depend on a single person — inside or outside the insurance sector.
Capabilities
Six disciplines, one standard of execution
These are the disciplines we work with alongside every client. The technical architecture behind them — infrastructure, integration, data, applications and applied intelligence — is explained in the Technology section.
Technology Consulting
Most consulting firms hand over a report and disappear. We stay until the technology decision is actually executed, not just recommended.
Applied Technology Execution
Modernizing usually means stopping the operation that runs the business today while everything gets rebuilt. We migrate processes and platforms without that dead stop.
Enterprise Architecture
Most technical foundations solve the next release and fall short within eighteen months. We design the architecture your business will need three years from now.
Software Development
A platform built for a fixed scope goes obsolete the moment the business changes. We build software meant to evolve with the operation, not freeze it.
Systems Integration
Systems, data and processes living apart force manual reconciliation, record by record. We connect them so the operation runs as one piece.
Applied Intelligence
AI became a label stuck onto the same old process. We apply it only where it gives real time back to the person making the decision.
Solutions
Real problems we take to project
We apply the same discipline that underpins Smart-RE —understanding the business before the technology— to other challenges within insurance, reinsurance and complex operations. If your organization is facing any of these scenarios, it's the start of a conversation — not a service list.
A close that takes days, not hours
Reconciling information scattered across spreadsheets, with no traceability on each adjustment, turns every close into a race against the clock. We fix it by automating the process end to end.
Billing split across systems that don't talk
When production, collections and accounting each review every record separately before closing, human error isn't the exception — it's a matter of time. We connect the existing systems, without replacing them.
Underwriting that can't scale without more headcount
Every new line of business shouldn't mean hiring in almost the same proportion. We automate the repetitive tasks of the facultative process, without touching the underwriter's decision.
Technology and IT falling behind growth
When the organization grows faster than its platform, every new office adds scattered processes instead of solving them. We build the platform at the same pace as the operation.
Use cases
Results from real platforms in production
In this industry, confidentiality is the norm — we show results without names, except when the relationship is already public.
Testimonials
Trust, in their own words
Voices of those who already work with us — unnamed, under the same confidentiality standard as our case studies.
Methodology
The same standard, at any scale
The quality standard doesn't change with the size of the client — what changes is the format in which it's delivered.
Diagnosis
Understanding the real operation, not the org chart
We map the process as it actually happens today — its exceptions, its bottlenecks, and the decisions that currently depend on one person.
Architecture
Designing for the client's scale, not an ideal case
A startup, a family business or a regional broker each get an architecture sized to their economic and operational reality — with the same engineering standard.
Implementation
Phased delivery, with auditable closing criteria
Every phase has explicit scope, timeline and acceptance criteria — no ambiguity about what "done" means.
Ongoing operation
The platform keeps evolving after go-live
The same client that began with Sibrok-RE is still with Smart-RE today: the work doesn't end at delivery, it continues in operation.
Our products
Proprietary technology assets, in real operation
AENTHOS builds proprietary products from knowledge proven in production over years, not as a new bet: they are technology assets running in real operation that extend the reach of its capabilities and complement its professional services.
Smart-RE
Smart-RE is AENTHOS's active platform for reinsurance brokers. Development began in 2019, with the first two modules in operation since 2021, and it has kept evolving ever since around the real requirements of reinsurance brokerage — applied research, development and best practices, not a textbook formula. Being easy to use today doesn't mean it was easy to build: it's an architecture designed to scale and adapt over time.
Measured comparing the same process, at the same broker, before and after Smart-RE.
Smart-MGA EVO
Smart-MGA EVO represents the next stage in the evolution of our capabilities for the insurance and reinsurance market: a dedicated platform for Managing General Agent administration — underwriting, issuance and portfolio administration — built with the same discipline that powers Smart-RE.
Legacy — the origin of this knowledge
Sibrok-SE
Our first proprietary platform, for insurance brokers. It was the core business system for more than 12 brokerages over nearly two decades. A historical product, discontinued — but we're still present in the insurance broker ecosystem.
Sibrok-RE
The adaptation of that knowledge to reinsurance operations. Still active today only for contractual continuity with historical clients — not active development.

Industries
Proven track record. Transferable capability
35 years of experience from the people who lead AENTHOS in insurance, and since 2007 building proprietary reinsurance technology — first as Sibrok-RE, today as Smart-RE. That same discipline underpins large-scale technology operations coordination and select banking projects. The same six disciplines transfer without friction to any industry facing similar data, process and decision challenges — including agribusiness, a sector where we're deliberately expanding our presence.
Sectors we operate in
Insurance and reinsurance as the proven base; that same discipline now extends into other sectors under active expansion.

Technology
We choose what to apply, and why
Every layer of this architecture is a decision, not a list of technologies. We choose infrastructure, integration, data, application and intelligence based on what the operation needs to sustain — and we can explain why each one is there.
Infrastructure
We don't over-invest. We size to real demand.
We evaluate compute, storage and network separately, not as a sealed package. When one piece needs to grow, it grows — without forcing a full rebuild of the architecture.
Technology is made of pieces.
Architecture gives them structure.
AENTHOS makes them work together.
Security and compliance: the layer that runs through everything
It's not one more layer of the architecture — it's the condition that runs through all five. Every decision on infrastructure, integration, data, application and intelligence is made with this already built in, not reviewed afterward.
Your data protected, no friction for your team
Encryption of information in transit and at rest, role-based access, and segregation between development, testing and production environments — so a testing error never reaches production.
Your operation keeps running, even if something fails
Backups verified on a regular basis and recovery processes that are tested — not just configured.
Every sensitive decision, with a history
Auditing of sensitive operations and data handling aligned with the critical nature of information in insurance and reinsurance.

Frequently asked questions
Before you write to us
A few quick answers, so your first message reaches us with the question that actually matters.
Is AENTHOS a one-person operation?
It's a small team, deliberately so, led by its founder — with a track record coordinating large-scale technology operations, in teams of 300+ people. That same criteria now runs in a deliberately compact format: specialists join specific projects as needed, but the person you talk to is the one making the technical decisions, not a sales intermediary.
How do you price a project?
There's no standard rate — it depends on the real scope of each case. The first conversation (20-30 minutes, no cost) is where we understand it; the proposal comes after, with explicit scope, timeline and acceptance criteria.
Do you only work in Ecuador?
Based in Ecuador. We currently have active business approaches in Chile, Colombia and Panama, and we're beginning our presence in Mexico — the vision is to bring Smart-RE to the whole region.
What if my problem isn't exactly insurance or reinsurance?
We still evaluate it — the discipline behind it (architecture, integration, large-scale operations) transfers to other contexts. If there's no real fit with what we know how to solve, we'll tell you directly in that first conversation.
Are Sibrok-SE and Sibrok-RE still supported?
Sibrok-SE is history: a discontinued product, no active development. Sibrok-RE remains active only for contractual continuity with historical clients — it receives no new development. All active development today is in Smart-RE.
